Overview

Cheap Everest base camp trek is a big discounted trek offered by the Nepal Mountain Lover Trek in 2024 and 2025. The quality of service and the scenery will be the same regardless of the discount. This budget trek includes a visit to the world-famous Namche Bazar, Tengboche Monastery, Everest Base Camp, and Kalapatthar, the best viewpoint in the Everest Region.

The price for the Everest Base Camp trek is US$ 910.00, which includes round-trip air tickets from Kathmandu to Lukla to Kathmandu, accommodation, and meals such as breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It also includes one porter for every two tourists, entrance tickets, and a hotel in Kathmandu with airport pick-up and drop-off.

Trekking to Everest Base Camp is a worthwhile experience, despite its difficulty. Choosing the right company for the trek can help mitigate the challenges of high altitude. An experienced guide from a reputable company will provide safety briefings and ensure a successful trek. Our experienced guides take good care of our guests, maintaining regular phone contact to keep them informed of the situation.

The Everest region is home to high mountains and peaks, offering breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains from Kalapatthar. Trekking through dense forests, Sherpa villages, glaciers, and moraines is an amazing experience. The sunrise view from Kalapatthar is truly awe-inspiring.

The Everest Base Camp trek is suitable for people aged 12 to 70, and we have organized successful family trips with children as young as 6 years old.

The altitude at Everest Base Camp is 5364 meters, and there are comfortable hotels and delicious Nepali and continental food options available.

The best seasons for the trek are Spring and Autumn, which are popular among tourists. For those who prefer to avoid crowds, the off-season is also an option.

The ideal seasons for trekking in Nepal are Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November). During Spring, the temperature begins to warm up, the trekking routes are dry, and it is the time when the rhododendron flowers are in full bloom, covering the mountains in a beautiful pink color. Nepal is home to 15 different types of rhododendron flowers, with most of them blooming in pink. The weather is clear, offering stunning views of the Himalayas and hills. Autumn is also a great season for trekking in Nepal, as the monsoon season is over and the weather is pleasant. Many of Nepal’s major festivals take place during this season, providing tourists with the opportunity to observe and participate in them. Marigold flowers are particularly important during these festivals, adorning the houses throughout the country. The trekking trails are dry, offering magnificent views of the Himalayas.

Tourists have the option to trek to Everest base camp alone, but they should be aware that weather conditions at higher elevations can change suddenly, making it difficult to find the trail. There are multiple footprints leading in different directions, including trails for regular treks that lead tourists to the right location where they can find a hotel. However, if tourists accidentally follow the trail used by locals to collect wood and bring their cattle for grazing, they may get lost and struggle to find the correct path. Therefore, it is important to be extremely cautious when trekking alone. In the event of changing weather and approaching sunset, it is advisable to avoid walking further and instead stay near a tea house. While it is possible to trek alone, it is recommended to take a guide or porter for safety.

Altitude sickness is a serious concern at higher elevations, with symptoms starting at 3000 meters and the base camp located at 5364 meters. Trekkers should be well-prepared and physically fit, practicing different types of exercises 3-4 months before starting the trek. It is important to walk slowly and take frequent rests rather than heading directly to the base camp. If feeling very tired, experiencing a strong headache, or having a fever, it is best to descend to lower elevations. If accompanied by a guide, it is crucial to inform them immediately in such situations.

Altitude sickness, also known as mountain sickness, typically begins at 3000 meters. However, most trekking trails in Nepal reach heights of up to 5550 meters. For those who are not very fit, it is advisable to choose an easier trekking trail to avoid the effects of high altitude sickness. We offer many easy and short trek plans that are less than 3000 meters high. If you decide to trek to higher elevations such as Everest Base Camp or Annapurna Circuit, you will be reaching almost 5550 meters. Therefore, we advise our guests to engage in exercises such as jogging, swimming, and cycling 3 to 4 months before starting the trek. Upon arrival in Nepal, our experts will provide you with some tips that you must follow, which will help ensure the success of your trip. Normally, we walk for 4 to 6 hours a day from one destination to another during trekking. However, you can extend this to 8 hours by walking very slowly, which will help you acclimatize better. It is important to drink 3 to 5 liters of liquid to maintain sufficient oxygen levels in the body as we ascend to higher elevations, where the air contains lower levels of oxygen. It is essential to consume foods that are rich in carbohydrates, as these provide the necessary energy. It is also important to eat frequently, but not in large quantities at one time. If you do not experience a loss of appetite, it indicates good health. Furthermore, it is crucial to avoid alcohol and smoking, as these can dehydrate the body and reduce the oxygen levels in the body.
