Day 1 :
Arrival in Kathmandu
Altitude: 1,400 meters
On your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative from Nepal Mt Lover will be there to assist you. You will be transferred to your hotel, where you may relax. In the late evening, a briefing will be given about your Pikey Peak Trek with one of our expert guides. This is where you get all the information you need to optimize your trekking experience, from what to expect to what important gear to carry along, as well as the itinerary.

Day 2 :
Drive from Kathmandu to Bamti Bhandar
Altitude: 2,300 meters
Duration: 8-9 hours.
After enjoying breakfast, you will be on your way for a very scenic drive towards Bamti Bhandar from Kathmandu. Approximately 235 km and 8-9 hours driving will take you past various villages, rivers, and rural scenery-hills and valleys will start to appear gorgeous and prepare you for what might lie ahead when you reach Bamti Bhandar, where you will spend the night at 2,300 meters.

Day 3 :
Trekking from Bamti Bhandar to Namkhel
Altitude: 2,700 meters
Duration: 7 hours
With breakfast, the real adventure of Pikey Peak Trek starts with a 7-hour trek from Bamti Bhandar to Namkhel through lush forests, ridges, and small Sherpa villages. You’ll see incredible views of the surrounding hills and far away mountain peaks. Overnight at Namkhel, a lovely village, at an elevation of 2,700 meters, as preparation for the next stage of the journey.

Day 4 :
Trekking from Namkhel to Golla
Altitude: 3,100 meters
Duration: 7 hours
Today, you shall continue your journey as you trek from Namkhel to Golla. This 7-hour trek leads through quiet forests and provides spectacular views of the majestic mountains. While ascending to an altitude of 3,100 meters, the landscape is expected to be changed which makes the Pikey Peak Trek more adventurous.

Day 5 :
Trekking to Pikey Peak Base Camp.
Altitude: 3,600 meters
Duration: 6 hours.
Today, you will hike for about six hours to reach Pikey Peak Base Camp (3,600m), one of the major points in the Pikey Peak Trek. The trail brings you to several Sherpa settlements and spectacular sites where the approach to the base camp has the added benefit of offering views of the peaks and valleys around it. You will enjoy a quiet, scenic, and natural night at Pikey Peak Base Camp.

Day 6 :
Trek to Pikey peak then Jun Beshi and stay overnight.
Altitude: Pikey Peak (4,070m); Junbesi (2,990m).
Duration: 1 hour for Pikey Peak; a 5-hour walk from Pikey Peak to Junbesi.
It is the most important day in Pikey Peak Trek as you will reach the most important place. You will start the hike early in the morning to watch the Pikey Peak Sunrise. An easy walk of about 1 hour to Pikey Peak (4,070 meters) offers you a panoramic view of several towering Himalayan peaks, among them the giants of the Everest Range. Then the trek descends down 5 hours into Junbesi-situated at 2,990 meters, it is a beautiful Sherpa village with greenery. This scenic village is renowned for its gentle lifestyle, appealing landscape, and welcoming people. Junbesi is charming at night.

Day 7 :
About 5 hours trek to Thupten Chholing.(2800 meter)
Altitude: 2,800 meters
Duration: 5 hours.
After the trek for around five hours you would reach Thupten Chholing-a quiet Gompa at 2,800m-from Junbesi over terrain containing several beautiful views of surrounding valleys and hills. Thupten Chholing is also an important spiritual center for the local Sherpa people and understandably a peaceful location for meditation. It provides a perfect stopping place for resting and could serve as further acclimatization before continuing on your trek.

Day 8 :
Junbesi – Chiwang-Phaplu. After breakfast we start trek.
Altitude: Chiwang (2,500 meters), Phaplu (2,400 meters)
Duration: 3 hours to Chiwang, 5 hours to Phaplu
Your trek to Chiwang Monastery begins after breakfast. The journey will take you around 3 hours to arrive at Chiwang (2,500 meters), where you will have the opportunity to see the monastery as well as the surrounding villages. The Mani Rimdu festival is of special note because it is celebrated at Chiwang Monastery on the full moon of October; this is to highlight some aspects of Sherpa culture. After some sightseeing at the monastery, you will continue your journey and trek for another five hours to Phaplu (2,400 meters), where you will spend the night.

Day 9 :
After breakfast drive to Kathmandu with private jeep.
Altitude: 1,400 meters
Duration: 8-hour drive or 40-minute flight
You will either drive or fly back to Kathmandu on the 9th day, after breakfast. If going by road, expect the journey to take around 8 hours by private jeep; alternatively, you can take a short and scenic flight, 40 minutes. On your arrival, you will check back into your hotel. A farewell dinner will be arranged, featuring an entertainment program showcasing Nepalese culture, traditional music and dance, and limited homemade liquor.

Day 10 :
Drive to international airport and fly back onward destination.
Altitude: 1,400 meters
At the end of your trek, you will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport for your flight. You will be able to take some time to reflect upon those unforgettable experiences of your Pikey Peak Trek as you head back to your onward destination.

Important Information Before Your Trip to Nepal
Payment: Down payment: 15% of total payment is required to confirm the reservation.
Payment of the Balance: Rest amount can be paid in our office after your arrival.
Arrival Point: You will be met at the Kathmandu international airport. Our office representative will be waiting for you holding play card of the Nepal Mountain Lovers Treks and Expedition. In case of your change plan, please let us inform.
Booking Air Ticket: If you don’t have regular travel agent, please visit makemytrip.com, www.kayak.com, www.vayama.com. They offer you very good price.
Room System: Normally we have two people in a room. Twin bed or single bed depends on the choice of guests and budget. If tourists want single room, s/he should pay single supplementary.
Trekking Leading Person: Our trekking guide will lead the whole trip with his/her helpers and porters.
Currencies: USD, AUD, EURO are major acceptable currencies in Nepal and visa and credit cards also accepted. There is ATM facility in city area.
Altitude Sickness: Altitude sickness will start from 3000 meter height. Trekkers should immediately inform trekking guide if faced any problems.
Drinking Water: We can get mineral water and boiled water in city area and in some trekking places. We use water purification tablet or liquid in some remote trekking sites.
Laundry Facility: Laundry facility are available in city area but not during the trekking.
Visa: You can get arrival visa at Kathmandu airport that cost 30 USD for 15 days and 50 USD for 30 days. Please bring 2 passport size photos. You can get your visa from the closest Nepali embassy.
Orientation Program: Before starting trekking, trekkers are provided with an orientation by our office representative or trekking guide about the necessary trekking information.
Group Size: There will be maximum 12 persons in one group.
Accommodation: You will stay in a nice tourist standard hotel/resort in city areas. Normal hotels or tents are available during the trekking.
Foods: We provide breakfast, lunch, dinner. Tourists can get continental food both in city and trekking places. Food during the trekking might not meet the standard of your country.
View of Mount Everest: Trekkers to Everest region will of course see the Mount Everest. For trekkers visiting other regions where they cannot view Mount Everest, there are daily mountain flights which approach close to Mount Everest.
Travel Insurance: It is compulsory to have travel insurance.
Personal Expenses: It depends on your spending interest and shopping. There are some expensive handmade carpets, Thanka paintings, jewelries and handicrafts to purchase in Nepal.
Luggage: We take only about 10kg per person in trekking. Your excess baggage will be stored in a hotel.
Tips: Tips are highly accepted and appreciated.
Rules and Regulation
Nepal Mountain Lovers Treks and Expedition accepts your reservation under the following rules and regulations.
1. If the balance payment is not paid before your departure for trekking, the booking will be cancelled without any refund.
2. If there is war or the situation of the country is out of control and the country faces emergency situation before your arrival to Nepal, we inform you not to come Nepal and refund your payment. But in case of any emergency situation or war after your arrival or during the trekking, we will not refund your money. But we will try our best to make your trip successful and pleasant. In such situation, we may need to change the trip plan and itinerary.
3. In case of increase in government royalty and other costs such as the national park fee, you have to pay extra money.
4. If you commit any illegal act or disturbance for the safety and welfare of the group, our leader or guide can ask to leave the group without any right to refund.
5. If you have any complain with regards to trekking and tour please inform our tour leader or company. All kinds of valid complain are welcomed and processed with necessary actions.
6.You are responsible to ensure that all travel documents are with you during the entire trip.
