Overview

The Night Stay at the Everest Base Camp (EBC) is one of the premier and truly adventurous trekking experiences in the Khumbu region. It is suitable for those who actually desire to spend a night at the foot of Mount Everest (8,848m), the highest mountain in the world. The journey leads from Kathmandu, where the initial flight takes place to Lukla, the gateway to Everest. You will move through lush valleys, pass suspension bridges, and visit iconic Sherpa villages. This will culminate in an overnight camping experience at Everest Base Camp (5,364m). Unlike standard trekking routes, the trip allows trekkers to experience the climbers’ closely gathered portion of the mountain and very rare overnight exposure at the foot of the highest peak in the world.

What makes Night Stay at the Everest Base Camp (EBC)different?

The Everest Base Camp Overnight Trek is an exclusive adventure that differentiates it from what is typically regarded as the Everest base camp trekking. An overnight camping provides trekkers with hardly any experience at Everest Base Camp itself, sleeping in expedition-style tents at the foot of Mount Everest (5,364 m). There exist moments when you can immerse yourself into the spirit of mountaineering, enjoy the spectacular sunsets and sunrises over the beautiful Himalayas, and simply feel within the spirit of adventure-nature which those standard treks cannot provide. This trek is a unique experience that includes stunning landscapes, the vibrant Sherpa culture, iconic landmarks, and will leave you with a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Differences that make the Everest Base Camp Overnight Trek unique:

  • Sleeping overnight in tents at Everest Base Camp, unlike the traditional treks, where trekkers return to nearby lodges or homestay.
  • Chance to experience the world’s tallest peak from very close and watch its beauty as well.
  • The sleeping arrangements also allow for warm sleeping bags and mats, all in an expedition-style camping environment;
  • An unforgettable view of sunset and sunrise over Everest and its surrounding peaks which increases the beauty of the mountain peaks.
  • More cultural engagement with visits to renowned monasteries like Tengboche and Khumjung, and increased interaction with the local Sherpa communities.
