Itinerary


  • Upon your arrival to Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be met up with your guide or representative who will further transfer you to the hotel. On this day, rest as well as acclimatization after your flight will take place. You can take your time and stroll around the nearby area or simply relax in your hotel room to prepare for the Jugal Himal trekking.

  • On the second day, you will take a full-day sightseeing tour to Kathmandu Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site. You will be taken to visit Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple; Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred Hindu site; Boudhanath Stupa, a major Buddhist site; and Patan Durbar Square, which is one of the most culturally and architecturally rich areas. This will be a great overview of Nepal’s diverse heritage and a rest for you before the actual trek.

  • Trek Duration: 4-5 hours

    Today, after breakfast, you’ll take a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Chautara (approximately 6-7 hours). Upon arrival at Chautara, you’ll begin your trek towards Syaule. The trail winds through terraced fields, small settlements, and rural landscapes, offering beautiful views of the surrounding hills. The trek to Syaule is relatively short, making it an easy start to your trekking journey. You’ll stay overnight in Syaule.

  • Duration of trek: 5-6 hours

    Today is a trek from Syaule to Kamikharka Danda at 2,100 meters. The trail goes uphill through dense forests, with views of terraced fields and surrounding villages. The walk is moderately hard, gaining altitude gradually. As the height gains, the surrounding environment gets more panoramic, with increased scenic beauty of the valley. Arrive at Kamikharka Danda and enjoy the peaceful environment, resting after a day’s trek

  • Trek Duration: 5-6 hours

    The day’s trek rises to an elevation of 2,400 meters today at Chyochyo Danda. Upwards through the rhododendron and oak forest, some fine views of surrounding mountain ranges begin to appear. You walk the less-trekked trail populated with peace in nature and culture that bring about a certain calm in your psyche. Reaching in the afternoon, you will be spending the night here.

  • Duration: 5 hours of trek

    Today is a trekking day of jugal Himal trekking to reach Hile Bhanjyang, which stands at an elevation of 2,600 meters. The path continues on both dense forests and open ridges, where you can capture good views of faraway mountains. While nearing Hile Bhanjyang, the topography increasingly acquires the characteristics of alpine, and the cold mountain atmosphere refreshingly prevails. This quiet village is supposed to be an ideal place to spend the day in quietude along with its natural beauty.

  • Trek Duration: 5-6 hours

    You will continue your trek to Nasem Pati at an altitude of 3,050 meters. The route goes uphill all the way, passing through the pine and rhododendron forests, from where you can see a glimpse of surrounding peaks. Altitude starts showing its effect, so you would need to take it easy and go as per your pace while reaching Nasem Pati. It provides an excellent view of the mountain ranges and is also an excellent place for acclimatization for higher altitudes in the days to come.

  • Trek Duration: 6-7 hours

    This day brings you to Panch Pokhari, which is situated at 4,100 meters. Panch Pokhari is an alpine sacred lake surrounded by snow-capped peaks and is a holy site for Hindus and Buddhists alike. The jugal Himal trekking trail takes you through alpine meadows, dotted by yak pastures and high-altitude flora. Upon reaching the lake, you will be treated to magnificent views of the surrounding mountains. Overnight at Panch Pokhari, the breathtaking beauty of this serene place.

  • Trek Duration: 6-7 hours

    From Panch Pokhari, you go downhill towards Gai Kharka, which stands at an altitude of 2,700 meters. The route follows a downward movement through forests and across grassy clearings, overlooking the lower valley. The climate is different as one comes lower in altitude, and the vegetation gets more varied; hence, it offers a different perspective into the region’s biodiversity. You will reach Gai Kharka in the afternoon and stay overnight in a local teahouse.

  • Trek Duration: 5-6 hours

    At present, you shall further descend toward Yarsa, a village at 2,000 meters. The track follows terraces of paddy and millet, small villages, and gentle curves. You get several opportunities to enjoy watching the daily customs of the backward-looking people in this rural area. Vegetation gets into more subtropical types while on the way downwards, and most of the parts of the surrounding hills and valleys open when on the trek to Yarsa. At last, you finally reach your destination of jugal Himal trekking.

  • Trek Duration: 5 hours

    Returning from jugal Himal trekking  would again be to the same Laghang Gompa at an altitude of 3,100 m. It would take you uphill to the forests of rhododendron and, from there on, to views of nearby valleys and mountains surrounding it. It is a far quieter place, and it’s said to be a perfect destination for meditation due to the spiritual atmosphere of this place. You also get ample time and the apt atmosphere to repose. Tonight in homestay/monastery.

  • Duration of Trek: 5-6 hours

    On this day, you will be taken downhill to the beautiful Sherpa village of Tarke Gyang at 2,600 meters, renowned for rich culture and traditional life. The trek goes down through dense forests and high ridges for wonderful views of the mountains. The village is very ideal to get the hospitality of the Sherpa people and to experience their unique traditions and ways of life. Stay overnight in Tarke Gyang.

     

  • Trek Duration: 5-6 hours

    After breakfast, you start your trek back towards Chautara. From Chautara, you drive 6-7 hours back to Kathmandu. The drive is scenic as it goes through rural Nepal, with terraced fields, small villages, and river valleys.

     

  • On your final day in Kathmandu, enjoy a day of rest or shopping in the capital. You can explore the local markets for souvenirs or visit any sites you may have missed earlier. In the evening, you will have a farewell dinner with a cultural program, where you will experience traditional Nepali music and dance. This is a great opportunity to celebrate the completion of your trek and reflect on the memorable journey of jugal himal trekking.

Important Information Before Your Trip to Nepal

Payment:  Down payment: 15% of total payment  is required to confirm the reservation.

Payment of the Balance: Rest amount can be paid in our office after your arrival.

Arrival Point: You will be met at the Kathmandu international airport. Our office representative will be waiting for you holding play card of the Nepal Mountain Lovers Treks and Expedition. In case of your change plan, please let us inform.

Booking  Air Ticket:  If you don’t have regular travel agent, please visit    makemytrip.com, www.kayak.com, www.vayama.com. They  offer you very good price.

Room System: Normally we have two people in a room. Twin bed or single bed depends on the choice of guests and budget. If tourists want single room, s/he should pay single supplementary.

Trekking Leading Person:  Our trekking guide will lead the whole trip with his/her helpers and porters.

Currencies:  USD, AUD, EURO are major acceptable currencies in Nepal and visa and credit cards also accepted. There is ATM facility in city area.

Altitude Sickness: Altitude sickness will start from 3000 meter height. Trekkers should immediately inform trekking guide if faced any problems.

Drinking Water:  We can get mineral water and boiled water in city area and in some trekking places. We use water purification tablet or liquid in some remote trekking sites.

Laundry Facility: Laundry facility are available in city area but not during the trekking.

Visa: You can get arrival visa at Kathmandu airport that cost 25 USD  for  15 days and 40 USD for 30 days. Please bring 2 passport size photos. You can get your visa from the closest Nepali embassy.

Orientation Program: Before starting trekking, trekkers are provided with an  orientation by our office representative or trekking guide about the necessary trekking information.

Group Size: There will be maximum 12 persons in one group.

Accommodation: You will stay in a nice tourist standard hotel/resort in city areas.  Normal hotels or tents are available during the trekking.

Foods: We provide breakfast, lunch, dinner. Tourists can get continental food both in city and trekking places. Food during the trekking might not meet the standard of your country.

View of Mount Everest: Trekkers to Everest region  will of course see the Mount Everest. For trekkers visiting other regions where they cannot view Mount Everest, there are daily mountain flights which approach close to Mount Everest.

Travel Insurance:  It is compulsory to have travel insurance.

Personal Expenses:  It depends on your spending interest and shopping. There are some expensive handmade carpets, Thanka paintings, jewelries and handicrafts to purchase in Nepal.

Luggage: We take only about 10kg per person in trekking. Your excess baggage will be stored in a hotel.

Tips: Tips are highly accepted and appreciated.

Rules and Regulation

Nepal Mountain Lovers Treks and Expedition accepts your reservation under the following rules and regulations.

1. If the balance payment is not paid before your departure for trekking, the booking will be cancelled without any refund.

2. If there is war or the situation of the country is out of control and the country faces emergency situation before your arrival to Nepal, we inform you not to come Nepal and refund your payment. But in case of any emergency situation or war after your arrival or during the trekking, we will not refund your money. But we will try our best to make your trip successful and pleasant. In such situation, we may need to change the trip plan and itinerary.

3. In case of increase in government royalty and other costs such as the national park fee, you have to pay extra money.

4. If you commit any illegal act or disturbance for the safety and welfare of the group, our leader or guide can ask to leave the group without any right to refund.

5. If you have any complain with regards to trekking and tour please inform our tour leader or company. All kinds of valid complain are welcomed and processed with necessary actions.

6.You are responsible to ensure that all travel documents  are with you during the entire trip.
