Overview
Kali Gandaki rafting is a favorite rafting around the Himalayan river which is perfect for rafters looking for a short rafting trip in Nepal. Kali Gandaki rises high on the Tibetan plateau in Mustang and cuts of the deepest gorges in the world in between Dhaulagiri (8,167m) and Annapurna (8,091m). At present, Kali Gandaki gorge is a prominent trekking route from Pokhara to Muktinath within the Annapurna Circuit, including the Annapurna Conservation Area (ACAP).
The Kali Gandaki River is one of the excellent rivers in Nepal for whitewater adventure rafting. A rafting trip to Kali Gandaki covers a total of 72 kms with excellent white water and magnificent views of the Mt. Annapurna South, Fishtail Peak and Machhapuchhre and beautiful terraces, valleys and waterfalls.
The largely unspoiled holy river, Kali Gandaki, offers also the beautiful scenery, spectacular views of mountain backdrops, typical villages and temples (at the river banks) and amazing wildlife. This rafting trip provides an opportunity to witness the traditional Magar and Chetri villages. Rafters often see those inhabitants in their fields along the riverside.
