Manaslu Circuit Trek, also known as Manaslu Trek is one of the toughest roads in Nepal, which will take you to the Manaslu peak itself(8,163 m). It is the eighth highest in the world and provides one a remote experience and feeling for real adventure. This adventure, organized by Nepal Mt Lover, has been combined with both nature and culture and added to that: excitement and experience of the mountains.
The Manaslu Circuit Trek begins in the lower hill foothills with subtropical forests, terraced rice fields, and Gurung and Tibetan villages. Once up high on the trail, the adventurers enjoy stunning views of the high Himalaya ranges, the final and dramatic crossing at Larkya La Pass (5,106 m) gives spectacular views of Manaslu, Himlung Himal, and Annapurna II. The trek offers that real adventure experience where one rejoices in the freedom of solitude amidst the living which will truly be an exhilarating treasure through and all standard tea house comforts.

Manaslu Circuit Trek Itinerary

Day 1 :
Arrival in Kathmandu (1400 m)
On arrival, Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) our representative will take you to the hotel in Kathmandu. The first day of Manaslu Circuit Trek is for relaxation, and preparing for the trek. You can also enjoy the spectacular views of night light of Kathmandu city.

Day 2 :
Briefing on Manaslu Circuit Trek and Trek Preparation
On the second day of Manaslu Circuit Trek, a detailed brief of the Manaslu Circuit Trek, would be done by the trekking guide or organizer in order to provide knowledge about the trek route, safety measures, altitude challenges, and cultural highlights. The briefing focuses on the daily trekking schedule, potential risks such as altitude sickness, and the equipment needed.

Day 3 :
Drive from Kathmandu (1400 m) to Machha Khola (890m)
The second day starts with the scenic drive from Kathmandu to Machha Khola, starting point of Manaslu Circuit Trek. This is a long, steep 9-10 hours drive of around 157 kilometres to Machha Khola, a village by the Budhi Gandaki River. You can enjoy the most stunning views of farmed fields along with the amazing views of the mountains.

Day 4 :
Trek from Machha Khola (890 m) to Jagat (1,410m)
The trekking starts from the third day of the Manaslu Circuit Trek as you trek from Machha Khola to Jagat through a beautiful trail enjoying stunning natural scenic beauty. After 7–8 hours of walking around 13.5 km of ground covered, you will reach the village of Jagat, the starting point of the Manaslu Conservation Area.

Day 5 :
Trek from Jagat (1,410 m) to Dyang (1,800m)
The fourth day of the Manaslu Circuit Trek leads you to the Dyang. This day involves a trek of around 20 km in 7–8 hours. The trail climbs through forests, suspension bridges, and villages including Philim, which gives the stunning views of nature in the way which makes the trail more entertaining.

Day 6 :
Trek from Dyang (1800 m) to Ghap (2,620m)
This 4-hour trek involves a gradual ascent through beautiful forests of pine and rhododendron. You’ll pass several small villages and terraces, enjoying glimpses of snow-capped peaks. The cultural influence of Tibetan Buddhism becomes more pronounced as you reach Ghap, a serene village adorned with mani walls and prayer flags.

Day 7 :
Trek to Samagaun (3,360 m)
A 7-hour trek along the Budhi Gandaki River through lush forests, past waterfalls, and stone-carved villages leads you to majestic mountain views and crosses wooden bridges before reaching Sama Gaun, a vibrant village situated below the stunning Mt. Manaslu, where trekkers experience traditional Tibetan culture and explore local monasteries.

Day 8 :
Rest Day in Samagaun (3,360m)
This day allows for acclimatization and exploration. You can visit the Pungyen Gompa or hike to Manaslu Base Camp for closer views of the Manaslu massif. Resting helps prepare for higher altitudes and prevents altitude sickness while enjoying the serene mountain environment.

Day 9 :
Trek to Samdo (3,900 m)
A short, scenic 3-hour trek climbs gradually through open meadows and yak pastures. The trail offers breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks, including Mt. Manaslu. Samdo, a traditional Tibetan village near the Nepal-Tibet border, provides a glimpse into the highland lifestyle and culture.

Day 10 :
Trek to Dharamsala (4,290 m)
This 5-hour trek leads to Dharamsala, also known as Larke Phedi, the base camp for crossing the Larkya-La Pass. The path ascends steadily through rugged terrain with panoramic mountain vistas. Dharamsala is a basic campsite offering simple accommodations for the night before the challenging pass crossing.

Day 11 :
Trek to Bimtang (3630 m) via Larkya-La Pass (5250 m)
An 8-hour trek crosses the Larkya-La Pass, the highest point of the trek. The climb is strenuous but rewards trekkers with spectacular views of Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, and Annapurna II. A steep descent leads to the serene valley of Bimtang, where trekkers find a well-deserved rest amid stunning mountain scenery.

Day 12 :
Trek to Dharapani
A long 9-hour trek descends through lush forests of rhododendron and pine, passing charming villages and crossing suspension bridges. The trail eventually joins the Annapurna Circuit route at Dharapani, marking the end of the Manaslu Circuit Trek’s challenging mountain adventure.

Day 13 :
Besisahar to Kathmandu
It can be regarded as the last day of Manaslu Circuit Trek, as the local bus will take you to Kathmandu, where you can remember the amazing memories spent during the Manaslu Trek. Along with that you can shop in the local shops of Kathmandu to buy some local items.

Day 14 :
Rest and farewell dinner with Nepali music
A rest day follows the Manaslu Circuit Trek, giving trekkers a day to relax after their journey, trying to recover from the inspiring yet challenging trek. On this day, trekkers will get a chance of a typical nepali dinner with nepali dance and music as well.

Day 15 :
Departure
On the last day, you will be directed to the International Airport in Kathmandu from where you can fly to your home country officially ending the Manaslu Circuit Trek. You can take the memories of the beauty of Nepal while moving to your country.

Important Information Before Your Trip to Nepal
Payment: Down payment: 15% of total payment is required to confirm the reservation.
Payment of the Balance: Rest amount can be paid in our office after your arrival.
Arrival Point: You will be met at the Kathmandu international airport. Our office representative will be waiting for you holding play card of the Nepal Mountain Lovers Treks and Expedition. In case of your change plan, please let us inform.
Booking Air Ticket: If you don’t have regular travel agent, please visit makemytrip.com, www.kayak.com, www.vayama.com. They offer you very good price.
Room System: Normally we have two people in a room. Twin bed or single bed depends on the choice of guests and budget. If tourists want single room, s/he should pay single supplementary.
Trekking Leading Person: Our trekking guide will lead the whole trip with his/her helpers and porters.
Currencies: USD, AUD, EURO are major acceptable currencies in Nepal and visa and credit cards also accepted. There is ATM facility in city area.
Altitude Sickness: Altitude sickness will start from 3000 meter height. Trekkers should immediately inform trekking guide if faced any problems.
Drinking Water: We can get mineral water and boiled water in city area and in some trekking places. We use water purification tablet or liquid in some remote trekking sites.
Laundry Facility: Laundry facility are available in city area but not during the trekking.
Visa: You can get arrival visa at Kathmandu airport that cost 25 USD for 15 days and 40 USD for 30 days. Please bring 2 passport size photos. You can get your visa from the closest Nepali embassy.
Orientation Program: Before starting trekking, trekkers are provided with an orientation by our office representative or trekking guide about the necessary trekking information.
Group Size: There will be maximum 12 persons in one group.
Accommodation: You will stay in a nice tourist standard hotel/resort in city areas. Normal hotels or tents are available during the trekking.
Foods: We provide breakfast, lunch, dinner. Tourists can get continental food both in city and trekking places. Food during the trekking might not meet the standard of your country.
View of Mount Everest: Trekkers to Everest region will of course see the Mount Everest. For trekkers visiting other regions where they cannot view Mount Everest, there are daily mountain flights which approach close to Mount Everest.
Travel Insurance: It is compulsory to have travel insurance.
Personal Expenses: It depends on your spending interest and shopping. There are some expensive handmade carpets, Thanka paintings, jewelries and handicrafts to purchase in Nepal.
Luggage: We take only about 10kg per person in trekking. Your excess baggage will be stored in a hotel.
Tips: Tips are highly accepted and appreciated.
Rules and Regulation
Nepal Mountain Lovers Treks and Expedition accepts your reservation under the following rules and regulations.
1. If the balance payment is not paid before your departure for trekking, the booking will be cancelled without any refund.
2. If there is war or the situation of the country is out of control and the country faces emergency situation before your arrival to Nepal, we inform you not to come Nepal and refund your payment. But in case of any emergency situation or war after your arrival or during the trekking, we will not refund your money. But we will try our best to make your trip successful and pleasant. In such situation, we may need to change the trip plan and itinerary.
3. In case of increase in government royalty and other costs such as the national park fee, you have to pay extra money.
4. If you commit any illegal act or disturbance for the safety and welfare of the group, our leader or guide can ask to leave the group without any right to refund.
5. If you have any complain with regards to trekking and tour please inform our tour leader or company. All kinds of valid complain are welcomed and processed with necessary actions.
6.You are responsible to ensure that all travel documents are with you during the entire trip.
