Overview

Tilicho Lake trekking is known as challenging trek in the Annapurna range in Nepal because of extremely inhospitable surrounding terrains and other geographical difficulties. The main focus of this trek is a visit to Tilicho Lake. Thats why it is named as Tilicho Lake trekking. Other major attractions of Tilicho Lake trekking are the eye-catching view of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges and other white Himalayas above 5,415m height,  peaceful Thorong La pass, and the local ethnic people, mostly Tibetan origin. Thorong La is the highest pass on the Annapurna Circuit. The major ethnic groups to be visited in this trekking are Magar, Gurung, Bhotia and Thakalis and Managis with distinct socio-economic and cultural background.

Tilicho lake trekking lies in Annaapurna Conservation Area. Tilicho Lake, situated at 4,919m height, is one of the highest Lakes in the World. Tilicho rests in rough and wild area in Manang district in western region of Nepal. Thus, Tilicho Lake is less visited trekking area in Nepal. Tilicho Lake accumulates the glacial melt of the northern slopes of the Annapurna range and the Thorong Peak.

About 4 hours excursion on the way and in the Tilicho Lake grants visitors a great experience of real and naturally beautiful Nepal and people and community that are totally isolated from modern Nepal and the development.
