Daily Poon Hill trip is a trek to Ghorepani Poon Hill in the region of Annapurna. The cheapest cost is US$ 200. Ghorepani poon hill trek offers spectacular views and easy to go. So it is visited by many tourists each year. This trek can be done through the whole year. Poon Hill is renowned as one of the best vantage points in Nepal to witness breathtaking views of the sunrise and the Himalayas. The sunrise and Himalayan vista are truly magnificent. Departures are available daily from Kathmandu and Pokhara. The trip takes 3-4 days from Kathmandu and just two days from Pokhara. Ghorepani is the most comfortable destination in Annapurna region which offers luxury hotels with private bathrooms and situated at an altitude of 2800 meters. It serves as a major hub in the Annapurna region.
Poon Hill is a 40-minute uphill trek from Ghorepani, standing at an elevation of 3210 meters. We embark on an early morning walk to witness the sunrise and the snow-capped mountains. The panoramic views include the majestic Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Nilgiri, and many other peaks.
From March to the second week of May, the trek offers a sight of rhododendron flowers in 14 different colors, along with various other plant species. The trekking trail itself is enchanting, with the added bonus of encountering waterfalls along the way. If you find yourself in Nepal, make sure not to miss the Poon Hill trek.

Itinerary

Day 1 :
Drive or fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara and 2 hours drive to Ulleri.
Drive or fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara, then drive 2 hours to Ulleri. From Ulleri, start trekking. About an hour of trekking and staying overnight at Banthati. If the weather is clear, you can see beautiful views of Annapurna South. You will enjoy hills, natural beauty, and typical Nepali villages in the mountains. Banthati is a peaceful place, and very few tourists stay overnight here. There are 10 to 15 hotels. This place is very popular for the lunch break.( 2210 m).You have two options to go to Pokhara. You can go to POkhara by flight or by Bus. If you go by bus you will leave Kathmandu at 7am and Lunch break will be on the way to Pokhara and it will be about 30 minutes breaks for lunch. If you do not like to travel by Bus then you can go with flights. There are regular flights for Pokhara from morning to late afternoon. But we have plan to go to trekking and arrive to Banthati to stay overnight. So it will better to catch the plane before 12 oclock flight. The flight cost will be USD 100 per person for one way. If you go by flight you will have Lunch at Birethati that is starting Point of Annapurna region. Today is the first day of your trekking and you will not walk longer. Just it is 1 hour walk.

Day 2 :
After breakfast trek to Ghorepani.
After breakfast, at 8 o’clock, start the trek. The trail passes gradually up with a dense forest of rhododendron flowers. In March and April, the whole mountain seems red in color, due to the blooming of flowers. Spring is the blooming and changing leaf season for plants in Nepal.
After a 4-hour trek, you will arrive in Nayathati for lunch. We make a one-hour lunch break. After one hour again, we walk for about an hour, and we arrive at Ghorepani, our destination. Ghorepani is one of the most important and beautiful place in the Annapurna region in terms of mountain views. We will stay overnight here. You will have arrive to Ghorepani earlier. So there will be enough time before Dinner. You can look around or buy some souvenirs of trekking.If the weather is clear you can view magnificent views of Himalayas.

Day 3 :
In the early morning at 5.30 am start trek to Poon hill (3210m)to view the long range of Himalaya like Dhaulagiri and Annapurna including beautiful sunrise.
In the early morning, at 5.30 am, start the trek to Poon Hill to view the long range of the Himalaya, like Dhaulagiri and Annapurna, including the beautiful sunrise. In Mountain region it is dark in the morning due to the shade of tall trees. So you need a head lamp to walk in dark. It is about 30 minutes up walk. As you will have arrive to Top there is a small flat ground. On the small ground there is a view tower. From view tower you can view the beautiful views of Sun rise and Himalayas. Local people from Ghorepani bring temporary tea shop for tourists and you can enjoy the views with tea or coffee. You will spend there about half an hour and trek back down to Ghorepani. Have breakfast. After breakfast, look around the Ghorepani village. The whole day, relax and stay over night.(2860 m).Ghorepani is the best place to chill out for one day.

Day 4 :
After breakfast trek down to Ulleri and back to Kathmandu via Pokhara.
After breakfast, trek down to Birethanti and back to Kathmandu via Pokhara. Today is the last day of the trekking, and you will have lunch at Banthati. After lunch, It will take about a hour trek down to Birethanti. Then from Birethanti you will catch a public Bus for Pokhara. From Pokhara, drive or fly back to Kathmandu, or you can stay in Pokhara too. There are regular flights and buses for Kathmandu. If you decide to fly back to Kathmandu it costs US$ 100 and you will pay yourself and decide to stay in Pokhara we can book any kinds of hotel immediate on your requirements and pay yourself.

Important Information Before Your Trip to Nepal
Payment: Down payment: 15% of total payment is required to confirm the reservation.
Payment of the Balance: Rest amount can be paid in our office after your arrival.
Arrival Point: You will be met at the Kathmandu international airport. Our office representative will be waiting for you holding play card of the Nepal Mountain Lovers Treks and Expedition. In case of your change plan, please let us inform.
Booking Air Ticket: If you don’t have regular travel agent, please visit makemytrip.com, www.kayak.com, www.vayama.com. They offer you very good price.
Room System: Normally we have two people in a room. Twin bed or single bed depends on the choice of guests and budget. If tourists want single room, s/he should pay single supplementary.
Trekking Leading Person: Our trekking guide will lead the whole trip with his/her helpers and porters.
Currencies: USD, AUD, EURO are major acceptable currencies in Nepal and visa and credit cards also accepted. There is ATM facility in city area.
Altitude Sickness: Altitude sickness will start from 3000 meter height. Trekkers should immediately inform trekking guide if faced any problems.
Drinking Water: We can get mineral water and boiled water in city area and in some trekking places. We use water purification tablet or liquid in some remote trekking sites.
Laundry Facility: Laundry facility are available in city area but not during the trekking.
Visa: You can get arrival visa at Kathmandu airport that cost 30 USD for 15 days and 50 USD for 30 days. Please bring 2 passport size photos. You can get your visa from the closest Nepali embassy.
Orientation Program: Before starting trekking, trekkers are provided with an orientation by our office representative or trekking guide about the necessary trekking information.
Group Size: There will be maximum 12 persons in one group.
Accommodation: You will stay in a nice tourist standard hotel/resort in city areas. Normal hotels or tents are available during the trekking.
Foods: We provide breakfast, lunch, dinner. Tourists can get continental food both in city and trekking places. Food during the trekking might not meet the standard of your country.
View of Mount Everest: Trekkers to Everest region will of course see the Mount Everest. For trekkers visiting other regions where they cannot view Mount Everest, there are daily mountain flights which approach close to Mount Everest.
Travel Insurance: It is compulsory to have travel insurance.
Personal Expenses: It depends on your spending interest and shopping. There are some expensive handmade carpets, Thanka paintings, jewelries and handicrafts to purchase in Nepal.
Luggage: We take only about 10kg per person in trekking. Your excess baggage will be stored in a hotel.
Tips: Tips are highly accepted and appreciated.
Rules and Regulation
Nepal Mountain Lovers Treks and Expedition accepts your reservation under the following rules and regulations.
1. If the balance payment is not paid before your departure for trekking, the booking will be cancelled without any refund.
2. If there is war or the situation of the country is out of control and the country faces emergency situation before your arrival to Nepal, we inform you not to come Nepal and refund your payment. But in case of any emergency situation or war after your arrival or during the trekking, we will not refund your money. But we will try our best to make your trip successful and pleasant. In such situation, we may need to change the trip plan and itinerary.
3. In case of increase in government royalty and other costs such as the national park fee, you have to pay extra money.
4. If you commit any illegal act or disturbance for the safety and welfare of the group, our leader or guide can ask to leave the group without any right to refund.
5. If you have any complain with regards to trekking and tour please inform our tour leader or company. All kinds of valid complain are welcomed and processed with necessary actions.
6.You are responsible to ensure that all travel documents are with you during the entire trip.
